"Art in the Park" in the West End of Allentown

West Park, Allentown’s oldest public green space, will host the annual "Art in the Park" festival this Saturday, 6/19. 60+ artists, craftsmen, and jewelers will display their work in the recently renovated West Park arboretum (between Linden and Turner Streets at 16th Street) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Concerts will be performed in the band shell from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Admission is free, and the event is hosted by West End Alliance, a volunteer group dedicated to continued resurgence of Allentown's West End.

While you're in the neighborhood, stop by the Allentown Farmers Market (1825 W. Chew Street) and two of my favorite stores nearby: Boutiquetogo (522 N. 19th Street) and Step in 4 Mor (1823 W. Allen Street)!

Now that sounds like a fun day out!

just a quick correction - the event is hosted by the West Park Civic Association, which is not the same as the West End Alliance. The West End Alliance is just spreading the word as a good neighbor.

    Indeed,

The West Park Civic Association has been holding this very successful event in West Park for over twenty five years. West Park members Rob and Peg Egolf deserve a lot of credit for their dedication to one of Allentown’s finest volunteer efforts.
